Embark on a revitalizing journey with us as we kick off the event with an invigorating half-hour workout session. Led by experienced trainers, the workout at Board30FC promises to challenge and energize participants of all fitness levels.

Following the workout, we'll gather to replenish our energy with a selection of protein bars and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. It's an excellent opportunity to unwind, connect with fellow members and foster a sense of community.

What is a BOARD30FC workout?

A fitness system fusing various resistance bands & movement techniques that are accessible by all levels of fitness. BOARD30FC is a high energy (HIIT) training experience that employs the whole body. The studio design & set up is streamlined & sophisticated, the system is dynamic & efficient, and the low-impact workout is concise & powerful. The BOARD30FC discipline recruits more muscle groups, big & small, than traditional forms of strength training. The result is an integrally fit & balanced body.

The CWBA Publications and History Committee typically meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at Noon unless there are scheduling issues. New members always welcome!

Through the CWBA's website, our blog The 1891, the newsletter The Advocate, and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter), the Publications Committee works to inform members of CWBA activities and projects, spur debate and member activity on issues of special concern to women lawyers and women generally, and recognize the achievements and contributions of women lawyers. This committee also documents the history of Colorado's women lawyers, and maintains and updates the history files of the CWBA.

This committee typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Noon. 

The Professional Advancement Committee works to advance women in the legal profession, and to promote career advancement and recognition for CWBA members. It informs women of and helps them obtain appointments to state and local boards and commissions; nominates CWBA members for various awards; and presents the CWBA's annual Mary Lathrop Trailblazer Award to a woman trailblazer who has substantially impacted the Colorado legal profession.

Our typical monthly Convention Committee will instead be a prep session for the Convention and will occur a day later than usual on Tuesday, May 16 from 4-6 p.m. at RiNo Beer Garden. Please come help assemble name badges, meal tickets, and other items we will use for Convention. Drop by whenever you can in the two hours allocated. Refreshments and snacks provided. 

The Convention Committee plans the CWBA's Annual Convention. Committee duties include selecting the site for the Convention, negotiating the contract for the site and selecting a keynote speaker. The committee also plans the Convention theme, identifies and contacts speakers for Convention programs, solicits sponsors, and coordinates Convention entertainment, and many other logistics and plans.

First time attending Convention?  Arrive a little early before the first session and join us to meet other first-timers for lunch on Friday, May 17 before Convention gets underway. Find a buddy (or a few!) and get to know other CWBA members. 

We have reserved space in The Hythe's restaurants in both Revel Lounge and Margie's Haas located on the second level of the hotel. LUNCH COST IS ON YOUR OWN, and attendees will order from the Revel Lounge menu. Registration is only for a head count to make the reservation. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Purchase your congratulatory ad sponsorship now for the Annual Mary Lathrop Trailblazer Award Reception on Friday, May 17, 2024, during the CWBA's 47th Annual Convention at The Hythe in Vail.

A program will be distributed to attendees of the Mary Lathrop Reception and to guests of Judge Sweeney. Our honorees' family, friends, colleagues, and supporters have the opportunity to purchase a congratulatory ad to recognize the honor.

A half-page ad (4'' h x 5'' w) is $100, and a full-page ad (8'' h x 5" w) is $200.  The ads are displayed in full color. (Click here to see the 2023 Mary Lathrop Program for your reference.) We prefer to receive all ads already designed, but we can help if needed. The deadline to purchase and submit an ad is Monday, April 29, 2024.
