Meet Our 2024 Judicial Excellence Honoree The Honorable Olympia Z. Fay Judge Olympia Z. Fay was appointed to the Denver County Court on January 13, 2015. She has presided over the Traffic, General Sessions, State Criminal and Preliminary Hearings divisions. Judge Fay began her legal career as a civil litigator with the law firms of Holme Roberts & Owen LLP (Bryan Cave LLP) and Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, where she practiced in the areas of complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, and intellectual property. Prior to her appointment, Judge Fay served as a Denver Assistant City Attorney representing Denver County employees in federal actions brought in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Judge Fay also previously served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Twentieth Judicial District. Judge Fay serves on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and is a member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, Sam Cary Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, and Denver Bar Association. Judge Fay remains present in the community by volunteering and speaking at local schools and civic organizations, discussing the topics of the judicial branch and equality in the justice system. Judge Fay received the 2019 Judicial Excellence Award presented by the Colorado Judicial Institute.
