FOUNDATION MISSION & PURPOSE In 1988, through the efforts of long-time member Jan Bernstein, the Colorado Women's Bar Association established a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. The corporation was named "The Jennifer Robbins Fund" in memory of a lawyer who was an activist against poverty, devoted considerable energy to mental health programs, and fought for equal civil rights for women and minorities. Her untimely death in 1987 from cancer motivated those who loved her to perpetuate her name and her goals. Thus, the CWBA Foundation began. The Foundation's mission and purpose is to implement the charitable and educational work of the CWBA, that is, to promote the advancement of women in the law, and to protect and promote the welfare of all women. The Foundation continues its good works through the generous contributions of donors like you!
